Sometimes regular, monotonous if you like, as if punctuated by the beating of a hammer, which often covers the sound of the footsteps of the unpredictable, of surprise, constantly around the corner. During an auction round, and every day, one is alone, among many, close to few. Everyone looks straight at their own goals, hoping to share as little as possible with others.
Today we have the certainty that the goal, of everyone, is the same. Today the relentless worldly race comes to a halt. The situation that our beloved country, and not only it, is facing forces us all to take a step back, in order to be able to take another hundred steps forward. So, in the meantime, let us take advantage of this time to look around us, to rediscover ourselves fulfilled and complete even in our homes, in the midst of a few, dear ones, and close to all. Let us all do this, for our brothers and sisters in Italy, the wounded mother, among other things, of much of the artistic heritage to which every local auction house owes its existence.
