La scultura raffigura una giovane donna nuda, colta in un momento intimo e quotidiano, seduta su un blocco in marmo bianco. Il corpo è leggermente inclinato in avanti; la gamba sinistra piegata poggia sul ginocchio della gamba destra che scende naturalmente; con una mano la figura trattiene un drappo che scivola verso il basso. La base marmorea decorata da una cornice a greca, richiama modelli classici.
