The work reproduces an event in the life of Lauro Farioli, one of the young demonstrators killed in the clashes with the police in what will be renamed the "Reggio Emilia massacre". The work was the illustration for the article published by Renato Nicolai about the event in Vie Nuove. On the reverse it bears a biffato painting.
