Boite à musique with singing automaton, Austria, early 20th century

in gilded metal and polychrome enamels. Rectangular in shape, it is decorated with miniatures depicting views within circular medallions; on the top, in the center of a river landscape, a convex oval door decorated by two female figures hides a mechanical bird with colorful feathers and movement of the beak and wings. It bears KG stamp with a bird figure and EB stamp. Equipped with charge key. Working.
