LARG QIANLONG JINGDEZHEN CHINESE JAR

Large cylindrical porcelain jar, Chinese manufactory of Jingdezhen (Jiangxi province); Emperor Qianlong's period of reign (1736- 1795) - second half of the eighteenth century; high cm. The decor is characterized by the application of small parts that are highlighted on the body of the vase, so called "graceful decoration" type. The decorative elements are the symbol repertoire from the hundred antiquities (bogu), of the eight precious things (babao) of the eight Taoist emblems (ba'anxian) and Eight Buddhist Emblems (baijixiang).
