Grande orologio in bronzo argentato, dorato e marmo con figura di Saffo, 1848

la poetessa greca è ritratta in piedi presso una colonna argentata con finiture dorate; basamento squadrata in marmo e bronzo dorato riccamente cesellato e dorato, con dettagli neoclassici e quadrante con numeri romani. Firmato e datato sulla colonna "J. Pradier 1848".
La modella per questa figura fu la poetessa Louise Colet (Aix-en-Provence 1810 - Parigi 1876). Celebre per la sua bellezza e per la sua forte personalità letteraria, Louise Colet frequentò assiduamente l'atelier parigino di Pradier per oltre un decennio diventando una delle sue muse principali
