Questa veduta documenta l'aspetto del monumento romano tra la fine del Cinquecento e il Seicento e trae spunto dall'incisione all'interno dell'opera "Vestigi delle Antichità di Roma" di Marco Sadeler o pubblicata da lui nel 1606, riprendendo i disegni del francese Étienne Du Pérac; cornice modanata in legno dorato a mecca. Etichetta cartacea incompleta con iscrizione manoscritta ad inchiostro al verso. Lievi difetti
