Andrea Costa (Imola 1851 - Imola 1910) fu un rivoluzionario e politico italiano, noto per essere stato il primo deputato socialista alla Camera del Regno d'Italia (eletto nel 1882) e figura chiave nel fondare il socialismo. Ripetutamente arrestato e condannato, più volte emigrò in Francia e in Svizzera dove conobbe Anna Kuliscioff, della quale fu compagno dal 1877 al 1881 e con cui condivise arresti ed esili, e da cui ebbe una figlia. Tornato in Italia collaborò a diverse testate socialiste e fu il fondatore del settimanale ''Avanti!...'' (1881) e del Partito Socialista Rivoluzionario.
