Shiraz Persian Rug, Iran, 20th Century
featuring a bold and highly symmetrical geometric design. The deep red field is adorned with three large diamond-shaped medallions, composed of small checkerboard motifs, surrounded by intricate zigzag outlines in black, orange, and ivory. The corners of the rug include stylized decorative elements that further enrich the composition.
The border, with a traditional pattern of small flowers and geometric motifs on a dark background, provides a visually balanced frame.
