Tilting lyre mantel clock in gilt bronze and white marble, France, Louis XVI

The lyre-shaped structure is defined by uprights adorned with a series of pearls and laurel leaves, symbols of glory and harmony, culminating at the top with a radiant sun mask, an iconographic reference to light and time. The central body houses the circular white enamel dial with two winding holes, moon phases, calendar, and central seconds, signed A.D.F. in magenta; it features a serrated bezel and French movement with pin-operated escapement. The lower section is embellished with a rich decoration of acanthus leaves and garlands, while the base features a continuous frieze with applied plant motifs. To be serviced, 60 x 31 x 12 cm
