E' interessante notare che nel Catalogo ragionato dell’opera grafica di Antonio Piccinni, edito dall’Istituto Nazionale per la Grafica nel 2005 compaiono tre acqueforti di soggetto simile (p. 66 Cat. 1.3 Uomini donne un prete in chiesa, 1875; pp. 69-70 Cat. 1.8 Donne con un uomo in chiesa, 1875; pp. 80-81 Cat. 1.18 Pendant l’office à Rome, 1879) e manca l’acquaforte con il presente soggetto.
