Quadrante firmato "William Tomlinson Londra".
William Tomlinson era un abile artigiano e la prima volta che viene menzionato è nel 1699 nella Clockmakers Company e come maestro il 29 settembre 1733. Lavorò presso The Dial & Three Crowns, Birchin Lane, vicino al Royal Exchange. Un orologio firmato da Tomlinson e datato 1719 si trova nella collezione del Victoria & Albert Museum di Londra.
