Venice, View of the Doge's Palace and the Piazzetta from St. Mark's Basin, with the Bucintoro at mooring

The painting was previously attributed to Francesco Guardi by Prof. Ferdinando Bologna (Rome, 27 July 1975), due to its very close relationship with the canvas signed by Guardi preserved in the Eliot-Cohen collection in Newbury, which presents the same theme, although framed from a wider visual angle.
