Crocifisso legno ebanizzato e bronzo dorato, XVII secolo
corpus Christi coronato di spine con aureola ad anello, rappresentato come dolente, mostra Gesù morto sulla croce, con il capo reclinato sul petto, gli occhi chiusi e il corpo abbandonato. In questa rappresentazione l’accento è posto sull’umanità e sul dolore del sacrificio. Questa immagine, diffusa dal XIII secolo, sottolinea la compassione, la sofferenza redentrice e l’identificazione di Cristo con il dolore umano. Terminali, titulus crucis e teschio in bronzo dorato.
