Alfa Romeo Trophy, 1979

The Alfa Romeo Trophies are a series of sculptures that the car manufacturer commissioned, from 1963 to 1987, to the most important Italian artists. Each year an artist was chosen to be assigned the task of designing and making a sculpture, which was then to be donated as a prize to the drivers who had won the races or given special honors to Alfa Romeo in that year.
Among the various awarded in that year with the sculpture by Bruno Cassinari we remember: Michele Alboreto, Bigliazzi, Bottini, Brambilla, Camaleo, Chiapparini, De Antoni, Dini, Ghinzani, Bruno Giacomelli, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, Pregliasco, Rampa, Ottomano , Sigala.
