The canvas depicts the face of St. Joseph, absorbed and thoughtful, according to the famous model invented by the Marche painter Giovanni Battista Salvi, known as "Sassoferrato". Such a revival should not at all surprise if we think of the great success that Salvi's models had, destined to establish a very successful iconographic line.
