Lamentation over the dead Christ
The small oil on copper proposed here suggests in the dense and full-bodied brushwork, in the suggestive use of light, and in the dark colors, the hand of an artist working in the Veneto area during the sixteenth century, and influenced by the productions of Jacopo Bassano.
