Folding fan with lacquered wooden box, Japan
with sticks embellished with miniatures with oriental figures and naturalistic motifs and two rows of pages in watercolored paper decorated on both sides in lively polychrome with reserves with genre scenes animated by characters with faces meticulously rendered on thin ivory flakes. The box is similarly decorated in gold with figures and lined inside with silk enriched with painted peonies. Slight defects inside the box
