Bucolic scene with nymphs and satyrs
Oil on canvas. Valuable overdoor decorated with a bucolic scene with a mythological subject with nymphs and satyrs who delight. The orgiastic and scandalous character linked to the iconography of the bacchanal, although weakened in this type of production and declined in a bucolic key, is suggested by the presence of satyrs in lascivious attitudes and by the presence of wine. In this case we are particularly struck by the pleasant freshness of the scene.
