High relief in white marble, 19th century
oval in shape depicting the death of Sant'Agnese; the decapitated figure lies with the key to Heaven in hand; her head with long loose hair is supported by the figure of Sant'Emerenziana, Agnes's milk sister. Support in the form of a plinth in which the figure of a lamb is placed as a symbol of purity and chastity.
