oil painting on canvas. This delicate portrait shows such significant similarities as to make it almost superimposable to the Cupid by the hand of Francesco Hayez, preserved at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, executed in the Roman years (between 1813 and 1818) when the artist attended Antonio Canova and Pelagio Pelagi from whose works he drew inspiration for this composition.
