The house of the Crescenzi (or Tor Crescenzia) at the Foro Boario
pencil and monochrome watercolor on paper, Signed lower right. Built between 1040 and 1065, it owes its name to the aristocratic Roman family of the Crescenzi who in the Middle Ages collected the tolls for the piers on the Tiber.
