Still life with pike, crab and game, oil on canvas, 36.5 x 55 cm Within Salvator Rosa s contemporary frame in gilded wood.The painting is attributable to the hand of the Augustinian friar Nicola Levoli, a painter from Rimini with a very coherent and homogeneous artistic journey in the choice of objects based on the types of the rustic table.The Levoli used to portray still lifes with similar fish to the taste of the Elena Recco partenopea, but unlike the latter he loved to enrich his own compositions also with game animals close to the Romagna tradition of Carlo Magini.
